Behind the Scenes: The Making of STBD 6.9 "Bad Advice"

You may not know this -- in fact, we hope you DIDN'T notice -- but this is the FIRST EVER episode of STBD to have been filmed with TWO CAMERAS at the same time! Longtime STBD fan Greg Hauenstein had hoped to lend us his cinema skills a year ago, but he got a bit sidetracked by his work as a field agent for the Obama campaign; he's finally joined the crew as a part-time "camera dude."

Now that you know this, you can probably watch the episode again and pick out which Affogato scenes are filmed on a different camera. (Since we were using a Panasonic DVX-100A and a DVX-100B, there's a slight image difference.)

Other interesting tidbits:

* The folks at Wood Street Galleries were gracious enough to allow us to film at all of the galleries during the One Night Stand gallery crawl, but we didn't have time to use everything we filmed -- including The Goodie Truck, which is an honest-to-goodness red ice cream truck whose owners make their own ice cream sandwiches and blast Motown classics. Seek them out! (Glenn is easting one of their Drumsticks during his conversation with Caroline and Tabitha.)

* Astrid made a coat of tinfoil for the stuffed Easter Bunny she was trapping under her handmade contraption, but none of that made the final cut -- including Amy's confused sideways glance at it, to which Astrid replies, "It's for charity."
